Blockchain is a simple concept that offers unique possibilities for computer technology. It involves creating “blocks” or “units” of information that are separated, but capable of communicating with each other through controlled mechanisms.
Blockchain is not unlike a series of rooms in an apartment with a lock and key on every door. In a normal apartment or normal computer system there is a lock and key for the front door but nowhere else. In a blockchain system every block has a security key that must be navigated to connect with each other compartment or block.
Understanding the fundamentals of Blockchain will enhance your ability to navigate this growing area of technology and provide insight into how you can get involved with it yourself.
