We visited the Toowoomba Flower Festival for 3 days, last weekend. It's really world class horticulture. There were perhaps 50 private home gardens open to view, along with a series of flower shows around the town, music, entertainment, a grand parade, carnival rides and many of the major parks were turned into a blaze of colour by the council's gardeners with a massive program of planting up flower beds.
Take a look at what we saw in Queens park (just a small sample of what was repeated across the city).
This was a world class effort.
My photo collection grew by 2,000.

Full marks to Toowoomba.
